Our support for MyKids Australia

MyKids | Aussies Helping the Children of Myanmar

MyKids Australia is a wonderful organisation that works in Myanmar to ensure that the children at the Andrew Youth Development Centre have adequate nutritious food, health, clothing and shelter, and can receive an education. These basic rights are denied to many children in Myanmar who find themselves on their own for reasons out of their control.

Through the Happy Herb Company's partnership with One Health Organisation, we provided MyKids with a grant to:

  • Translate, design, and print booklets about basic medical care in the Burmese language
  • Fly two MyKids naturopaths to Burma to distribute the booklets and deliver a series of community seminars on healthcare and nutrition

We received the following letter from them:

5th July 2012
Dear Happy Herb Company,
Thank you for the honour of receiving this community HELP grant of $3800 for the further development and support of the Myanmese people of the Andrew Youth Development Centre and its surrounding area. The booklets and the community talk could not have taken place without your support and have begun to impact the community in a positive way.
From the words of one community leader
"This information is desperately needed for all people in Myanmar. Thank you."
We are so fortunate to have people like you who are willing to donate generously to our cause and we hope to keep you involved in the development and success of this outreach.
Thank you again from MyKids Australia and the people of Myanmar. Without you this would not have been possible.
Kind Regards,
Phil and Tammy Sooveere
